The BPM Foundation
A One-Year Immersive Training in Biodynamic Psychotherapy with Ebba Boyesen
A living, embodied pathway into Biodynamic Psychotherapy, for practitioners who sense that real transformation happens through the body.
We start in-person 4th-8th November 2026
Spots are limited to 16 people
You already know how to support others.
The BPM Foundation is designed for practitioners who sense that beneath every symptom, every emotion, and every story, the body is communicating something deeper.
Over one year, you'll learn to work with the body's innate capacity for self-regulation through touch, presence, movement, breath, and therapeutic relationship.
Combining immersive in-person training with guided online study, live mentoring, and ongoing support, this programme offers a structured and embodied pathway into Biodynamic Psychotherapy.
Why This Training?
Perhaps you've reached a point in your work where you sense that understanding alone isn't always enough.
You may already be supporting people through therapy, bodywork, movement, healthcare, or another helping profession, yet feel there is a deeper language the body is constantly communicating.
Biodynamic Psychotherapy offers a different way of working.
Rather than applying a predetermined method, you'll learn to observe, listen, and respond to what is unfolding in each individual, meeting the person where they are rather than where you think they should be.
Over the course of a year, the BPM Foundation develops this way of working through study, practical experience, supervision, and your own embodied learning. Rather than asking you to replace your existing profession, it offers principles that can naturally deepen and enrich the work you already do.
What is Biodynamic Psychotherapy?
Biodynamic Psychotherapy is an integrated approach that brings together body-oriented psychotherapy, energetic physiotherapy, and a deep understanding of the relationship between body, mind, emotion, and spirit.
What makes Biodynamic Psychotherapy unique is its understanding of the emotive brain—the gut—and its central role in emotional regulation. Through the smooth muscles of the digestive system and their relationship with the autonomic nervous system, the body has an innate capacity to process and release surplus stress.
Gerda Boyesen's pioneering discovery of psychoperistalsis, the natural sounds of the digestive system, revealed that the body is continually working to digest not only food but also emotional experience. These sounds became both a diagnostic guide and a sign that the organism is moving towards regulation and integration.
For more than five decades, Ebba Boyesen has continued to teach, refine, and evolve this work internationally, while remaining faithful to its original principles. Through decades of teaching, supervision, and practice, she has guided thousands of practitioners in developing a deeper understanding of the body's own language and its natural movement towards healing.
Today, through the BPM Foundation, Ebba shares both the philosophy and the practical application of Biodynamic Psychotherapy with a new generation of practitioners.
What you’ll learn inside the BPM Foundation
Over the course of a year, you'll build a strong foundation in the principles and practice of Biodynamic Psychotherapy through a carefully structured programme of study, practical experience, and reflection.
The curriculum combines theory with embodied learning, gradually developing your understanding of therapeutic touch, self-regulation, breath, trauma, energetic perception, and process work.
As your confidence grows, you'll learn not only what to do, but when, why, and when not to, developing the sensitivity to respond to each person according to their individual needs rather than following a predetermined technique.
The Foundation is built around six core modules that form the backbone of the programme. Throughout the year, these are enriched by an expanding learning library of additional teachings, practical demonstrations, guided practices, and live learning, allowing your understanding to deepen through both study and experience.
The Core Curriculum
Four Immersive Intensives
At the heart of the Foundation are four four-day immersive trainings with Ebba Boyesen, held in Portugal and the South of France.
These intensive gatherings are where the work comes alive. Through demonstration, observation, hands-on practice, and personal experience, you'll develop the sensitivity and confidence that cannot be learned from theory alone.
Each intensive is professionally recorded and becomes part of the online curriculum, allowing you to revisit the material throughout the year and continue integrating your learning.
Intensive One (Nov 4-8 2026)
The Art of Listening, Seeing & Touch
Develop the foundations of therapeutic presence. Learn how to observe, listen, see, and touch with sensitivity, creating the conditions for safe and attuned therapeutic work.
Intensive Two (Feb 24-28 2027)
Deepening Process & Vegetotherapy
Explore how the body stores and releases repressed emotions. Learn to read the body more deeply while developing practical skills in vegetotherapy and therapeutic process work.
Intensive Three (May 19-23 2027)
Diagnostic Image Work, Dream Work & the Startle Reflex
Deepen your understanding of symbolic perception, dreams, and the body's protective responses. Learn to work safely with the startle reflex while expanding your diagnostic sensitivity.
Intensive Four (Sep 22-26 2027)
Biofield, Release Vegetotherapy & Integration
Bring together the year's learning through advanced practice, biofield work, deeper vegetotherapy, integration, assessment, and preparation for applying the work in your professional practice.
Your Learning Continues Between Intensives
Between each immersive training, you'll continue your development through:
The six core online modules
Additional teachings from Ebba
Practical demonstrations
The Pharmacy in Your Hands
Self-massage and home practice
Live mentoring sessions each month
Ongoing WhatsApp support
The private Skool community
This rhythm of immersion, study, practice, reflection, and supervision allows the work to become integrated gradually throughout the year.
-
Develop therapeutic presence through touch, observation, and an understanding of psychoperistalsis, establishing the foundations for safe and attuned therapeutic contact.

Explore the body's natural rhythms of expansion and contraction, the relationship between breath and emotion, and the role of vegetative discharge in restoring balance. -
Learn practical hands-on methods, therapeutic touch, and how to work with boundaries, resistance, and impulse while supporting the body's natural process of regulation.
-
Understand how trauma is held within the nervous system and learn Biodynamic approaches for working safely with shock, startle responses, and protective patterns.
-
Develop your understanding of the twelve body segments, vegetotherapy, and the skills required to guide deeper therapeutic process work with confidence and sensitivity.
